FAQ

Asked at the stump

The questions people ask most about Tietoc saws, batteries, chains and orders, answered as plainly as we can.

Saws and cutting

What can a mini chainsaw cut?

Branches, shrubs, roots, small trees and firewood up to about six inches with the 6-inch bar and about eight inches with the 8-inch bar.

Is a mini chainsaw good for seniors?

Many of our buyers are. At about three pounds with a two-button start and no pull cord, it is far easier to handle than a full-size saw.

Do I need to assemble it?

Only the battery and oil. The bar and chain come fitted; fill the reservoir, slide on a charged battery and check chain tension.

Batteries and oil

How do I charge a Tietoc mini chainsaw?

Slide the battery off the saw, connect it to the included charger and wait for the indicator to show full — about 1.5 hours for a 2000mAh pack.

What kind of oil do I use?

Bar-and-chain oil is best. General motor oil works if you run out.

Why does oil leak when the saw is stored?

A little seepage from the reservoir is normal. Store the saw flat on a rag, or empty the tank for long storage.

Orders, returns and warranty

Where do I track my order?

Orders are placed and shipped by the partner store you bought from. Tracking, delivery changes and returns are handled through the order page of that store.

How do I make a warranty claim?

Start the claim through the order page of the partner store where you bought the saw. Keep the order details and a short description or photo of the problem.

Can you help me choose?

Yes — write to contact@tietoc.pages.dev with the job you have in mind and we will suggest a bar length and kit.
