Why a 6-inch cordless mini chainsaw

A 6-inch mini chainsaw covers the cuts most yards actually need: pruning branches, trimming shrubs, cutting roots, clearing storm limbs and turning fallen wood into fire-pit lengths. The short guide bar keeps the saw balanced in one hand, and at around 3 lb it is a tool that seniors, women and first-time users pick up without hesitation. The Tietoc mini chainsaw runs an 880 W pure copper motor that drives the manganese steel chain at 28.6 ft/s, so a 6-inch log takes about eight seconds.

Because it is cordless and battery powered, there is no extension cord to drag across the lawn and no gas to mix. Every kit uses the same 21V lithium battery, so a second battery, a spare charger or a bare-tool saw all work together.

Battery, oil and safety on every kit

Each 2000mAh battery runs roughly 30 to 40 minutes and recharges in about an hour and a half; two-battery kits let you swap and keep cutting. The auto oiler is a reservoir with a press-button pump: fill it with bar-and-chain oil or general motor oil and press between cuts. The safety lock and trigger must be pressed together to start the chain, a splash baffle keeps wood chips away from your hand, and most kits include gloves and goggles.

Kits differ in what is in the box. The starter kit is the saw and one battery. The two-battery kits add spare chains, guide plates and a hard case. The deluxe kit uses the lighter 2.8 lb body with charge-gauge batteries. The pruning-shears kit adds hand shears for twigs, and the two-saw bundle puts a saw in two pairs of hands.
