Cordless yard tools
A Tietoc mini chainsaw weighs about three pounds, runs on a 21V battery and cuts a 6-inch limb in roughly eight seconds. Pick a 6-inch or 8-inch saw, add a pole for the high branches and a leaf blower for the mess — every tool here is built for the pile out back.
Tietoc 6-Inch Mini Chainsaw Starter Kit · $29.98 · 4.3 stars from 8,423 ratings
An 880 W copper motor and a manganese steel chain at 28.6 ft/s — enough for seasoned oak limbs, storm debris and firewood rounds.
Roughly a quarter of the weight of a gas saw. No cord, no pull-start and no sore shoulder at the end of an afternoon.
Most kits ship with two 21V packs. Slide one off, slide the other on, and the first charges while you cut.
The lock and the trigger must be pressed together. A splash guard, non-slip grip and bar sheath make it a sensible first chainsaw.
Fill the reservoir, press the button, and the chain gets an even coat. One fill lasts most of a working session.
Flame-retardant housing and FCC certification on the mini chainsaw line, backed by a full year of cover.
The saws that leave the shed most often — each one comes in several battery counts and colours. Tap through to see every configuration.

Easy to use
I love this mini chainsaw! It's easy to use and easily cuts through small/medium branches. We've already used it to help take down 2 smaller trees and cut up 2 larger trees that we used a regular chainsaw to cut down. The charge lasts a long time and it's nice that you can check the charge level on the battery. The chain can get off track a little bit, but it's pretty easy to fix. Recommend if you're wanting to use for trimming and smaller projects that you don't need a full size chainsaw for.
Easy to Use
Easy to operate and the cut was very clean. If a 70+ year old female who has never used a chainsaw before can do it then anyone can use this little gem.
Best mini chainsaw for the money
This little mighty 6" chainsaw does the job just like advertised, I'm 81 years old and simple to use without arm fatigue. Highly recommend.
If you were thinking about it, you need to buy it
If you were sitting on the fence about purchasing this, do it. I cut down two trees, cut all their branches off. The trees were about 6 inches in diameter and this cut through it like butter. Safe to use.(of course you need to always be careful). I love it. I used one battery straight out of the shipping box, and it still does not need a charge.
Handy tool in the tree filled backyard
It’s been a handy tool. Cut the whole pile in the pic with one battery charge. Easy to grip and maneuver through the branches. Also cut easily through some 4-5” diameter branches. Chain is quick and easy to adjust as needed. Gives some of the power of my full-size chainsaw but easier to wield.
Electric, the way to go!
My husband loves it. He had a gas powered one that just stopped working. He tried to fix it to no avail. He was hesitant about an electric one but loves it. He can't get over how much power it has, how light it is and easy to handle. He would definitely recommend this.

Tietoc mini chainsaw chain tension and replacementAsk anyone with a Tietoc mini chainsaw and they will tell you the same thing: the chain seemed loose after a few cuts. That is normal, and…Read the note ›The Tietoc mini chainsaw is a cordless, battery-powered saw with a 6-inch or 8-inch guide bar, built for the cutting jobs that are too big for pruning shears and too small to justify a gas chainsaw. It handles tree trimming, shrub pruning, storm debris, roots and firewood, and it does it one-handed at around three pounds. For homeowners, gardeners, seniors and anyone using a chainsaw for the first time, that combination of light weight and real cutting power is the whole point.
Every Tietoc mini chainsaw shares the same basics: a manganese steel chain, an automatic oil system you prime with a button, a two-step safety lock and a 21V lithium battery that slides on and off. The kits differ in battery count, bar length and the extras in the box — spare chains, guide plates, gloves, goggles, pruning shears or a hard case — so you can pick the configuration that matches the size of your yard and the size of your pile.
Start with the bar. A 6-inch mini chainsaw is the lighter, nimbler choice for pruning and limbing; it slips between branches and works close to the trunk. The 8-inch bar adds reach for thicker branches and small logs, and the dual-bar kit lets you switch between both with a screwdriver. For limbs above your head, the 2-in-1 pole saw turns a brushless mini chainsaw into a pole saw so you can trim from the ground instead of a ladder.
Then think about run time. One 2000mAh battery gives roughly 30 to 40 minutes of cutting; two batteries double that, and the 4000mAh packs on the 8-inch and pole saw kits go further again. If you plan long Saturday sessions, a kit with two batteries is worth it, and a spare battery or charger from the parts line keeps a second saw ready.
Fill the reservoir with bar-and-chain oil (general motor oil works in a pinch) before each session and press the oiler between cuts. Check chain tension after the first few cuts on a new chain, because new chains stretch slightly and a loose chain can jump off the bar. Brush sawdust out of the guide bar groove at the end of the day, store the saw with the battery removed, and replace the chain when the saw makes fine dust instead of chips. Replacement chains, guide plates, covers, chargers and batteries are all sold separately, so a well-kept Tietoc can run for seasons.
Get the 6-inch mini chainsaw for pruning, shrubs and limbs up to about six inches; it is lighter and easier to steer in tight spots. Choose the 8-inch for thicker branches and small logs, or the dual-bar kit if you want both.
The 6-inch saw handles limbs up to about six inches in a single pass and cuts a 6-inch log in roughly eight seconds. The 8-inch saw cuts an 8-inch log in about ten seconds. Larger pieces can be cut from two sides.
A 21V 2000mAh battery runs roughly 30 to 40 minutes of cutting and recharges in about 1.5 hours. The 4000mAh packs on the 8-inch and pole saw kits run longer, and two-battery kits let you swap and keep working.
It is designed for it: the safety lock and trigger must be pressed together, a splash guard covers the chain, the handle is non-slip and most kits include gloves and goggles. Read the manual, wear eye protection and keep both hands clear of the bar.
No. The kits ship with an empty oil bottle or a dry reservoir for shipping. Fill it with bar-and-chain oil before the first cut; standard motor oil also works.
Yes. New chains stretch slightly during the first uses. Loosen the bar nut, turn the tension screw until the chain sits snug but still pulls by hand, then tighten the nut again.
Yes. Replacement 6-inch chains, guide plates, covers, chargers and 21V batteries are all in the parts line, along with bare-tool saws for anyone who already owns batteries.
Leaf blowers
The leaf blower runs on the same idea as the saw: brushless, cordless and light enough to carry around the yard. Pair the two and the whole clean-up fits in one afternoon.
