A cordless pole saw gives you reach: trim branches over the roof, raise the canopy of young trees and clear limbs above the driveway without climbing a ladder. Using a pole saw safely

Stand to the side of the limb, never directly beneath it. Cut long branches in short sections from the tip back toward the trunk, and make a small undercut first so the bark does not tear as the limb drops. Keep the pole saw well away from power lines; no battery tool is insulated for line work.
